(a) Completion of Secondary 5, or equivalent;
(b) A good command of both Chinese and English, Level 2 [See Note (i)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent preferred;
(c) Possess good communication skills, fluent in spoken English, Putonghua or other languages preferred;
(d) Familiar with Chinese (Cangjie or Simplified Cangjie Inputting Method) and English input methods and computer operations preferred, such as word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software;
(e) Candidate who possessed at least six months' full-time clerical working experience is preferred;
(f) Working experience in customer service or administering subsidy schemes preferred;
(g) Working experience in schools, public organizations or government departments/ bureaux preferred; and
(h) May be required to take a written test.

(a) To assist in vetting and processing applications for a subsidy scheme in accordance with procedural guides, including verification of data, contacting applicants/ schools by phone, interviewing applicants, preparing letters/ messages for seeking supplementary information, drafting notification letters/ messages to applicants, etc.;
(b) To handle enquiries and complaints in relation to a subsidy scheme from the applicants, schools and public;
(c) To provide logistic support for the administration of a subsidy scheme such as packing and distributing application forms, receiving and dispatching application forms, coding and inputting data, etc.;
(d) To perform filing duties and to maintain the filing bring-up system, such as printing and filing email messages, collating returns and reports, etc.;
(e) To perform reception duties and assist in the briefings for schools and meetings;
(f) To perform administrative duties to facilitate the operation of the Office; and
(g) To perform other duties as assigned by the senior officers.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
$15,560 per month
(a) 7 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
