The Statistical Assistant is mainly deployed on –
(1) providing support in statistical surveys and/or daily business operations;
(2) coding, editing and inputting questionnaire data;
(3) performing statistical computations, analyses and assisting in dissemination of statistical data;
(4) compiling statistical tables/charts and reports;
(5) preparing simple computer programs and applying computer packages in statistical work;
(6) assisting in testing of computer systems of statistical work; and
(7) performing other duties in relation to statistical work.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months. Further renewal of contract will be subject to the candidate’s performance and service needs.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
HK$20,035 per month
The eligibility for the annual leave, rest days, statutory holidays (or substitute holidays), maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with those provided for under the Employment Ordinance.
General Notes
(1) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative
Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(7) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
