A Treasury Accountant is mainly deployed to various bureaux/departments to perform professional duties such as financial accounting, cost and management accounting, system development, internal audit, investigatory accounting, loan/fund management, financial monitoring and management of subvention/funding schemes etc.
Terms of Appointment
New appointees will be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of the probation bar, the officer may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.

Master Pay Scale Point 30 ($61,060) to Master Pay Scale Point 44 ($105,175) per month
General Notes
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(i) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. Application must be made on prescribed application form [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)] obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centre of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centre of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Completed application form, together with copies of (i) letter on results of CRE and results of equivalent examinations, if applicable [Note 1]; (ii) letter on result of Basic Law test [Note 2]; and (iii) certificates of professional qualifications, should be forwarded by post or by hand to the address below on or before the closing date for application. Please mark “Application for Treasury Accountant” on the envelope. (Remarks: For applications submitted by post, the postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application. Please ensure that sufficient postage is paid.) An acknowledgement receipt will be sent to the applicant by post.

Candidates who apply on-line MUST SUBMIT THE REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS as mentioned above by post (see remarks in previous paragraph) or by hand to the address below ON OR BEFORE 13 MARCH 2020. The online application number should be quoted on the envelope and on every page of the copies of the documents. An acknowledgement receipt will be sent to the applicant by email.
The following applications will NOT be considered: (a) the applicant does not possess the entry requirements (including the CRE requirements and professional qualifications); (b) the application and/or the required supporting documents are incomplete or not received by the Treasury on or before the deadline; and (c) the application is submitted by fax or e-mail.
Applicants who do not receive an acknowledgement receipt shall consider that their application or the required supporting documents are not received by the Treasury on or before the deadline. Re-submissions will ONLY be considered if documentary proof showing that the application or the required supporting documents have been submitted to the Departmental Personnel Section of the Treasury on or before the deadline (e.g. proof of delivery of registered mail) can be provided on or before 20 March 2020.
Candidates who are invited to the written examination will normally receive an invitation in about four weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited to the written examination may assume that their applications are unsuccessful. As invitations will be issued by post and by e-mail, applicants should provide accurate correspondence address and e-mail address and ensure that their e-mail accounts can receive incoming e-mails properly.
