Entry Requirements

(i) Education level – Hong Kong Primary 6 or equivalent (when submitting applications, applicants should also submit copies of their academic qualification certificates and/or official transcripts); and
(ii) Speak fluent Cantonese and be able to read and write Chinese.

Duties

(1) To be responsible for the daily management of Community Halls and Community Centres (CHs/CCs), including answering enquiries from general public and overseeing the general condition of security, maintenance, cleaning, and the use of facilities by hirers etc.;
(2)To clean the CHs/CCs and assist the operation of the temporary heat/cold shelter on need basis;
(3)To patrol and inspect the conditions of both outdoor and indoor CHs/CCs facilities and to assist moving furniture and equipment;
(4)To assist in promotion and publicity work (e.g. distribution of leaflets) as well as arrangement of community building activities; and
(5)To carry out any other duties assigned by staff of Yuen Long District Office (including outdoor duties).

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HKD$48.5 Per Hour
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

(1) Application must be made on the form G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013), copies of which are obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centre of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk).
(2) The completed application form, together with a detailed resume and copies of academic qualifications should reach the address below by post or in person on or before the closing date. For submission by post, the deadline is based on the stamp chop date. For submission in person, the application should reach the address below by 6 p.m. of the closing date.
