Entry Requirements

Candidates should have –
● Five subjects of Level 3 or above in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 1), including Chinese Language and English Language; or
● Pass in two subjects at Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Level 3 (“Grade C” before 2007) or above in three other subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (including Chinese Language and English Language (“Syllabus B” before 2007)), or equivalent; and
● As regards spoken language, in addition to Cantonese and English, fluency in other spoken language(s) (including Putonghua) or dialect(s) will be an advantage (Note 2).

(1) “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2)The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.
(3)‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. 

Duties

(a) To assist the District Office staff in the preparation work for the Voter Registration Campaign;
(b) To assist the District Office staff in carrying out household visits to register new voters and update voters’ information, including supervision of Voter Registration Assistants (VRAs);
(c) To assist the District Office staff in setting up Voter Registration counters throughout the district, especially in the supervision of VRAs;
(d) To report to the District Office staff on the Voter Registration Campaign;
(e) To assist the District Office staff in organising any activities related to the Voter Registration Campaign;
(f) To assist in the communication between the District Office staff and VRAs; and
(g) To assist in answering enquiries and handling any other duties relating to the Voter Registration Campaign as assigned by the District Office staff.
(Working place includes households and open areas)

Terms of Appointment

(a) Work Period: 1 April 2020 to 2 May 2020 (Subject to actual appointment period)\r\n(b)\tWorking hours: Irregular hours from 9:00am to 11:00pm on any days, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as and when required\r\n(a)\tWork area: Kwun Tong\r\n(b)\tCandidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms. \r\n(c)\tBonus available at a rate of $3.6 for every valid voter registration form collected during the work period, up to a maximum amount of $992 per month.\r\n(d)\tMay be required to work outdoors.

General Notes

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

Please list out other spoken language(s) (if any / including Putonghua) at the column “Professional Qualifications” under Section A of Application Form G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013).
Completed application forms together with photocopies of academic certificates and employment proofs should reach ‘3/F, Shun Lee Estate Community Centre, 2 Shun Chi Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon’ on or before 6 p.m. of the closing date. For submission by post, the deadline is based on the stamp chop date. Please affix sufficient stamp to ensure delivery in order. Please specify on the envelope “Application for Voter Registration Supervisor”. Late applications or applications which are incomplete or without the relevant supporting documents will not be considered. Applicants who are not invited for interview within 8 weeks from the closing date may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
