Entry Requirements

(a) Minimum three years of full-time work experience gained in human resource management/ office administration/ event or project management;
(b) A Hong Kong Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, preferably in business administration, human resource management or international business;
(c) Meet the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) or equivalent (see Note (a) to (c));
(d) Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua is a must;
(e) Familiarity with Hong Kong’s business and social environment; and
(f) Good computer knowledge.

Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) is looking for a confident, experienced and enthusiastic applicant as Manager of China and International Operations.

You will join a professional team which manages the global offices of InvestHK. Your key role is to assist in the human resource management for these overseas and Mainland offices as well as to help them achieve their performance targets within the annual budget and work effectively with head office teams. Through working with colleagues across InvestHK, both locally and the Mainland as well as overseas, you will acquire a global perspective that can facilitate your career development.

You will need to demonstrate:
• proven experience in the human resource management;
• sound track record in the liaison work with overseas or Mainland counterparts;
• good communication skills in Cantonese, English and Putonghua; and
• interests in international trade and investment.

Duties
(i) To provide support in the human resource management for overseas and Mainland offices, including appointments, performance management, training and development, conduct and discipline, etc. as well as the housekeeping work to ensure that the relevant government rules and regulations are adhered to;
(ii) To provide support in the procurement of investment promotion service for overseas markets so as to ensure that relevant rules and regulations are complied with;
(iii) To coordinate logistics arrangement for duty visits;
(iv) To assist in conducting research and preparing briefs; and
(v) To undertake any other duties as assigned.

Terms of Appointment

Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for normally 24 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the applicant.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$46,655 per month
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

(a) Applicants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
