Entry Requirements

(a) Non-final year students in the 2019/20 academic year studying full-time courses of post-secondary institutions; and
(b) Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Duties

(a) To assist in the data processing of the approved applications under the Film Development Fund (FDF); and
(b) To assist in record-keeping and classification of approved FDF applications in the Funding Administration Systems of Create Hong Kong.

Terms of Appointment

Employment period is about 3 months from June to August 2020. Summer intern is normally required to work 44 hours per week. Subject to the exigency of services, the appointee may be required to work irregular hours and overtime, including Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$10,500 per month
Rest day, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, sick leave, etc., where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. Summer intern is subject to the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485).

General Notes

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.
(b) Summer interns are not posts on the civil service establishment. Candidates appointed are not on civil service terms of appointment and conditions of service. Candidates appointed are not civil servants and will not be eligible for posting, promotion or transfer to any posts in the civil service.
(c) The entry pay, terms of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions prevailing at the time the offer of appointment is made.

How to apply

(a) Students studying in local post-secondary institutions MUST apply through the Student Affairs Offices/ Career Centres of their respective institutions. Direct applications from local students will NOT be considered. All students studying in local post-secondary institutions should observe the deadlines set by the Student Affairs Offices/ Career Centres of their respective institutions for application.
(b) Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should download the application form from Civil Services Bureau’s website
(http://www.csb.gov.hk/english/admin/appoint/files/Standard_Application_Form.doc). The completed application form together with (i) a reference letter issued by the appropriate authority of their post-secondary institutions certifying their student status in the institution, (ii) copies of relevant certificates and (iii) academic transcripts should be submitted to the following enquiry address by post or by email to ccibper@cedb.gov.hk on or before the closing date for application (the postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application). Applicants should clearly specify the post title being applied for on the envelope/ in the email.

For effective and timely delivery of mails, all senders are required to ensure that their posted mail items are affixed with sufficient postage. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will not reach us and will be handled by the Hongkong Post in accordance with the Post Office Ordinance.

Late applications or applications with incomplete or unclear information will NOT be considered. Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation within 2 to 4 weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
