Successful applicants will be deployed to the backstage of designated performing arts venues of the LCSD and receive on-the-job training in operation of stage services. Training includes the techniques in coordinating and supervising the stage operation such as liaison between hirers, other departments and/or contractors, enforcement of statutory regulations and safety measures; conducting technical performance evaluation; and giving professional advice to hirers. It also includes the deployment of manpower and resources, preparation and planning of the procurement of stage equipment and stage services, as well as preparation and updating of technical data such as stage plans, technical drawings of stage installations and managing equipment list, etc.
(Note: Performing arts venues of the LCSD provide theatre services to the public normally from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm daily. Stage management team is responsible for the coordination and provision of integrated technical services to the users. Stage Management Trainees are required to work shifts and irregular hours; and work on Saturdays, Sundays and/or Public Holidays.)
Terms of Appointment
Successful applicants will be appointed on non-renewable Non-civil Service Contract Terms for 18 months, with salary fixed throughout the contract period. Stage Management Trainees are subject to the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485).
Salary and Fringe Benefits
HK$14,940 per month (fixed throughout the contract period)
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
General Notes
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions / Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. Completed application forms should reach the enquiry address on or before the closing date for application with the envelope clearly marked with “Application for the position of Stage Management Trainee” (the postmark will be referred to for the submission dates of applications by mail).
