The successful candidates will provide support for promotion, preparation and implementation of the pilot subsidy scheme for installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging-enabling infrastructure in car parks of existing private residential buildings (the pilot subsidy scheme). The main duties include:-
(a) to conduct laptop research and identify prospective car parks for the pilot subsidy scheme;
(b) to conduct on-site visits to collect and analyse statistical data of car parks in private residential buildings, and assist in setting up a database of car parks in private residential buildings in the territory;
(c) to conduct on-site visits to the prospective/eligible car parks and liaise with building managements, incorporated owners (IOs) / owners’ corporations (OCs) / owners’ committees and owners of car parks to encourage and facilitate their participation in the pilot subsidy scheme;
(d) to assist in organising workshops on the pilot subsidy scheme for IOs / OCs / owners’ committees, building management companies, EV charging service providers and associations, electrical contractors, etc.;
(e) to assist in other promotional activities including distribution of posters / leaflets to building management companies, IOs / OCs / owners’ committees, etc.;
(f) to assist in providing essential assistance to building management companies, IOs, OCs and owners’ committees to evaluate compliance with pre-established criteria and complete applications for the pilot subsidy scheme;
(g) to assist in initial vetting of applications;
(h) to follow up with successful applicants to ensure smooth commencement and completion of the installation of EV charging-enabling infrastructure installation works approved under the pilot subsidy scheme;
(i) to assist in procurement of qualified consultants and contractors for serving the successful applicants for carrying out the installation works; and
(j) to perform any other duties to be assigned.
(Other Job-related Requirements: The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the department. The successful candidate may be required to (a) work irregular hours and overtime, including evenings, weekends and public holidays; (b) work outdoors; and (c) wear uniform provided by the department.)
Terms of Appointment
The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for not exceeding one year.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
HK$21,000 per month
14 days of paid annual leave will be granted to the successful candidate. The eligibility for rest days, statutory holidays (or substitute holidays), maternity / paternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, is in line with those provided for under the Employment Ordinance. A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary received during the contract period.
