A Contract Clinical Psychologist is mainly deployed on (a) conducting psychological assessments on offenders for the courts and for the relevant review boards; (b) providing counseling for persons in custody and supervisees; (c) advising, developing and implementing treatment programmes for the rehabilitation of offenders; (d) assisting in developing and implementing relevant policies and programmes relating to staff recruitment, training and development and staff welfare; (e) providing psychological treatment and counselling for staff and their family members when required; and (f) conduct work-related researches/studies.

Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for two years.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
HK$ 55,715 per month
(a) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15 % of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
(b) Candidates appointed are eligible for 14 days' paid annual leave. Other benefits such as rest days, general holidays, maternity or paternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the Employment Ordinance and General Holidays Ordinance.
General Notes
(a) Non-civil service vacancies are not posts on the civil service establishment. Candidates appointed are not on civil service terms of appointment and conditions of service. (g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the above enquiry address, with specification of their on-line application numbers, if applicable. Copies of local qualification documents are not required at this stage of application.
