An Assistant Pest Control Officer is mainly deployed on –
(a) supervising staff in pest control work; (b) performing advisory pest control field work; (c) identifying specimens (i.e. insects, rodents, etc.); (d) carrying out instructional work; and (e) carrying out investigations on the biology, habits and control of pests.
Terms of Appointment
A new recruit will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, he/she may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.\r\n\r\n
Salary and Fringe Benefits
Master Pay Scale Point 16 ($33,350) to Master Pay Scale Point 21 ($42,545) per month.
General Notes
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.
