Entry Requirements

(a) Minimum three years’ full-time work experience gained in digital marketing, international marketing/sales, journalism or communications, public relations, advertising, copywriting.
Experience in technology writing or reporting would be an advantage;
(b) A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in digital marketing, international marketing, public relations, advertising, journalism, communications, languages, business administration or related field;
(c) Level 3 Note or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(d) Demonstrable previous experience in handling projects from concept to execution;
(e) Proven experience of implementing effective strategies on social media platforms such as video production and photography would be an advantage; and
(f) Good command of written and spoken English, written Chinese, spoken Cantonese and Putonghua.

For appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.

To help maximise the potential for foreign direct investment in innovation and technology and start ups, Invest Hong Kong is looking for a motivated and energetic digital marketing specialist to join our dynamic teams. You will play a crucial role in implementing our marketing projects across the world. You will work closely and collaboratively with both internal clients and key stakeholders in the Innovation, Technology (I&T) and startup ecosystems in Hong Kong to synchronize marketing messages and materials that deliver outcomes with high quality.

(i) To manage the I&T sector’s digital marketing initiatives to complement with the work around marketing, public relations and events (physical and virtual);
(ii) To create content (including copywriting, videos and graphics) across different marketing and social media platforms for I&T sector and StartmeupHK to grow our audience and increase engagement across all platforms;
(iii) To manage StartmeupHK’s social media channels and the StartmeupHK Festival’s image, tone and brand on all digital marketing platforms such as the website and other social media channels and to broaden the StartmeupHK’s social media and marketing outreach across Mainland China;
(iv) To coordinate and follow up with different I&T stakeholders to generate bespoke content across all channels;
(v) To drive development of graphic designs and marketing materials (e.g. logos, leaflets, banners, infographics, advertisements, event and service photography, newsletters and roadshow design, etc.); and be responsible for artwork and printing production; and
(vi) To handle administrative and procurement processes relating to digital marketing campaigns and projects.

Terms of Appointment

Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$46,655 per month
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

General Notes

(a) Applicants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled applicant meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting. Applicants who have declared disabilities found suitable for appointment may be given an appropriate degree of preference over other applicants whose suitability for appointment is considered comparable to that of the former. (g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by e-mail.
