How to apply
Application Forms [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)] are obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Completed application forms, together with photocopies of certificates and transcripts in support of the academic qualifications (both local and non-local), should reach the Appointment Unit, Government Logistics Department, 10/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong not later than 9 July 2020. Please state on the envelope “Application for the post of Assistant Supplies Officer”. To avoid delayed or unsuccessful delivery of applications by post, please ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage has been affixed before posting. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will not be delivered to this Department and will be returned to the sender or disposed of by the Hongkong Post, where appropriate. Applicants will bear any consequences arising from paying insufficient postage. Applicants may also apply online through the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Candidates who apply online should submit supporting documents mentioned above to the above address not later than 16 July 2020 (the online application number should be quoted on the envelope and the copies of all supporting documents). Please ensure that sufficient postage is paid. Applications which are incomplete, late, submitted by fax or email, not duly signed, not made in the prescribed form, or not accompanied by photocopies of academic certificates, transcripts of studies and other supporting documents as requested will not be processed.
Candidates will be invited for interview only if they pass a written test. Candidates who are selected for the written test will normally receive an invitation in 12 to 14 weeks from the closing date for application. This period may be longer in exceptional circumstances, e.g. when a large number of applications are received or when there are other complications. Those who do not receive an invitation may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
