Entry Requirements

(a) A Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, preferably in journalism, marketing, languages, communications or related field;
(b) Minimum five years of full-time work experience gained in advertising, marketing, communications or similar field;
(c) Excellent English and Chinese, both copywriting and verbal communication skills, meeting the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) or equivalent (see Notes (a) to (c));
(d) Fluency in Putonghua is a must and knowledge of other language(s) would be an advantage;
(e) Familiarity of implementing effective content strategies across all marketing channels including social media and digital; and
(f) Knowledge of and good understanding of Hong Kong’s business environment, knowledge of and experience in investment promotion or economic development would be an advantage.

(a) Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of Chinese (UC) paper of the CRE. Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of English (UE) paper of the CRE.
(b) Grade C or above in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) or in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE.
(c) An overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period.

Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) is the department of the HKSAR Government tasked to attract and retain foreign direct investment in Hong Kong. Since 2020, InvestHK has also been tasked to actively promote and attract high-quality talent from all over the world. We are looking for confident, high-calibre and self-motivated individuals to join our Talent Attraction Team.

You will play a significant role in developing and executing our global talent attraction initiatives and marketing campaigns, with a view to enhancing the impact of our overall marketing strategy. You should be capable of working independently, with outstanding Chinese and English writing skills and good knowledge of digital marketing and talent attraction. For the successful candidate, the job presents an excellent career development opportunity to work and expand network with local and global clients as well as stakeholders.

Duties
(i) To develop and execute an overall marketing strategy for the global talent attraction initiative;
(ii) To produce engaging marketing content, stories and videos that can be re-purposed for different platforms to promote Hong Kong’s latest opportunities available for global talent;
(iii) To oversee and work with external agencies and vendors to create impactful and relevant marketing collaterals including online, offline and videos;
(iv) To manage content and design of the global talent attraction website and make use of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) to boost visibility;
(v) To manage the daily maintenance of various digital marketing and social media platforms to grow audience and increase engagement across all platforms;
(vi) To organise events to promote the development opportunities for global talent and to attract them to live and work in Hong Kong;
(vii) To coordinate special marketing communications or theme-based projects with other bureaux / departments and stakeholders;
(viii) To maintain proper records via various means including Customer Relationship Management System, emails and file record; and
(ix) To perform related administrative tasks and other duties as required.

Terms of Appointment

Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for normally 24 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the applicant.\r\n

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$61,415 per month
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

(a) Applicants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
