Entry Requirements

(a) A Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, preferably in business administration, finance, economics or international marketing;
(b) Good command of English and Chinese, meeting the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) or equivalent (see Notes (a) to (c));
(c) Minimum three years of full-time work experience gained in event management, marketing or business development or similar;
(d) Fluency in Putonghua is a must and knowledge of other language(s) would be an advantage;
(e) Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel; and
(f) Good knowledge of or experience in digital content management and marketing such as email marketing, social networking, social media technologies and Photoshop is an advantage.

(a) Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of Chinese (UC) paper of the CRE. Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of English (UE) paper of the CRE.
(b) Grade C or above in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) or in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE.
(c) An overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period.

Your key role is to provide support for and enhance the impact of our local and overseas talent attraction and investment promotion campaigns. You should be able to demonstrate strong confidence, self-motivation and interest in global talent attraction and investment promotion. Working with colleagues across InvestHK’s global network, the successful candidate will acquire a global perspective that can facilitate his/her career development.

Duties
(i) Support the planning and execution of local and overseas events to attract global talent and generate leads;
(ii) Prepare publicity materials and marketing collateral for promoting the talent attraction and business events and to update the relevant portals and platforms and arrange social media feeds to publicise the events;
(iii) Coordinate with service vendors to ensure smooth execution of the events and to provide on-site and off-site logistical support to the events;
(iv) Procure services for attracting global talent and promoting inward investment into Hong Kong in overseas markets via quotation or tender exercises;
(v) Gather, evaluate and conduct due diligence check for sponsorship proposals in relation to the talent attraction initiative and to liaise with relevant parties on the logistics arrangement;
(vi) Assist in monitoring the business performance of geographic teams and compile and consolidate returns, briefs and statistical reports;
(vii) Maintain proper records via various means including Customer Relations Management system, emails and file record; and
(viii) Conduct research and analysis, and perform administrative duties of the team and other duties as required.

Terms of Appointment

Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for normally 24 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the applicant.\r\n

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$46,655 per month
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

General Notes

(a) Applicants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

In these circumstances, only shortlisted applicants will be invited to recruitment examination and/or interview.
(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled applicant meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/ written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting. Applicants who have declared disabilities found suitable for appointment may be given an appropriate degree of preference over other applicants whose suitability for appointment is considered comparable to that of the former. (g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by e-mail.
