An Operations and Training Officer is mainly deployed on
(a) organizing and conducting training courses for Auxiliary Medical Service volunteers and Government officers in first aid, including the maintenance of training and/or administrative records;
(b) interviewing and selecting applicants for enrolment into the Auxiliary Medical Service; and
(c) performing operational duties during and after disasters and emergencies.
On appointment, a successful candidate is required to become a member on the volunteer side of the Auxiliary Medical Service. He/She is required to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, Sundays and public holidays, and is required to wear uniform.
Terms of Appointment
A new recruit will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, he/she may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
Master Pay Scale Point 11 (HK$24,270 per month) to Master Pay Scale Point 28 (HK$55,705 per month) [See Note (1)]

Application Forms (G.F. 340 [(Rev. 3/2013)]) are obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centre of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Completed forms, together with the copy of the First Aid Certificate, should reach the Personnel Registry, Room 325, Auxiliary Medical Service Headquarters, 81 Princess Margaret Road, Homantin, Kowloon (please mark “Application for Operations and Training Officer” on the envelope) on or before the closing date for application. The postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of submission of application. Candidates should state in detail in the application forms their academic qualifications relevant to the entry requirements and the issue date of their First Aid Certificate. Applications which are incomplete, late, or submitted by fax or email, or not made in the prescribed form, not duly signed, or not accompanied by the copy of the First Aid Certificate, will not be considered. Online application can also be made through the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
