Entry Requirements

Candidates should have -
(a) a bachelor's degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
(b) Met the language proficiency requirement of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [see Note (1)]; and
(c) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

(1) ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(2) Candidates who are invited to attend the recruitment interview will be assessed through a computer typing test immediately before or after the interview on the same date.

Executive Assistant
(a) To perform general administration and management work such as resource management systems and records management, project planning, collection and analysis of statistical information, compilation of reports, etc.;
(b) To handle public enquiry;
(c) To process applications from the public and related matters; and
(d) To serve committees and working groups including drafting and preparation of minutes and briefs, co-ordinating logistics for the smooth running of the meetings, liaising with District Council members and other parties concerned;
(e) Other duties as and when required.

Terms of Appointment

(a) Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year. Further renewal to be subject to satisfactory performance and operational needs. \r\n(b) Required to work at Islands District Office or other location as assigned, required to work outdoor and irregular hours. \r\n

Salary and Fringe Benefits

$26,000 per month
Upon satisfactory completion of contract, the appointee will receive a contract gratuity. The gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s 5% contribution to the MPF scheme, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the period of contract.

General Notes

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

Completed forms should reach 20th Floor, Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road, Central, Hong Kong (Attn.: Miss Wing Fung / Mr Sam WONG) on or before the closing date. For submission by post, the deadline is based on the stamp chop date. Applicants should ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage is affixed before posting so as to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application.
