Entry Requirements

Applicants must:-
(1) be Hong Kong Permanent Residents who are students currently enrolled in full-time degree courses in Social Work & Social Administration, Sociology and related subject(s) of post-secondary institutions locally or overseas;
(2) be student of Year 2 or above in the school year of 2020-21;
(3) meet the language proficiency requirement of Chinese Language and English Language at 'Level 3' or above in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent;
(4) have good knowledge in using computer softwares, including MS Excel, Powerpoint and Chinese Word processing; and
(5) produce certificates issued by the appropriate authority of his/her post-secondary institutions certifying his/her student status in the institution.

The successful candidate will be required to:-
(1) assist in the preparation for programmes and events related to youth development network;
(2) assist in carrying out work related to district liaison and administration;
(3) provide general administrative and management support, such as project planning, resource and records management, compilation of reports etc.;
(4) perform outdoor work as required; and
(5) perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms from July to August 2020.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$10,500 per month
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

(1) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(6) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(7) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the enquiry address below.

(1) Hong Kong students studying in local post-secondary institutions should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions. They are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions.
(2) Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should complete the Application Form for Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme, which can be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s website (https://www.csb.gov.hk/english/admin/appoint/782.html). Completed application form together with copies of academic qualifications should reach the enquiry address below by post or in person on or before the closing date. For submission by post, the deadline is based on the stamp chop date. For submission in person, the application should reach the enquiry address below by 6 p.m. of the closing date. Please specify on the envelope “Application for the Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme 2020 (KCDO)”. Late applications or applications which are incomplete or without the relevant supporting documents will not be considered.
(3) Applicants who are not invited for interview within 2 months from the closing date may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
