How to apply
Applications should be made on the prescribed application form [G.F.340 (Rev. 3/2013)] and submitted through one of the following means :
(a) on-line application facility on Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk); or
(b) by post or by hand to the Appointments and Personnel Section, Education Bureau.
Application form is obtainable at any Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). All applications should reach the Appointments and Personnel Section, Education Bureau, Room 1636, 16/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong on or before the closing date for application.
Candidates should attach to their application forms the following supporting documents :
(a) a duly completed Supplementary Information Form (SIF) which can be downloaded from the Education Bureau website (http://www.edb.gov.hk > \"About EDB\" > \"Bureau's Information\" > \"EDB Recruitment\"); and
(b) copies of certificates and transcripts in support of all relevant qualifications attained (e.g. degree, teacher training, language proficiency level, CRE and LPAT results).
A. Online Application
Candidates who apply on-line should submit copies of all supporting documents required and the prescribed SIF by post or by hand on or before 31 July 2020 to the Appointments and Personnel Section, Education Bureau, Room 1636, 16/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong. The candidate's on-line application number should be quoted on the envelope and on the copies of all supporting documents. Originals of supporting documents should NOT be submitted.
B. Application by post or by hand
For applications made by post or by hand, candidates should send the completed application form and SIF, together with all supporting documents in one envelope. Candidates should state clearly on the application form the subject applied for, e.g. \"ASSISTANT EDUCATION OFFICER/ ENGLISH LANGUAGE\" and should also mark \"Application for the post of Assistant Education Officer/Subject\" on the envelope. Originals of supporting documents should NOT be submitted.
For applications and/or copies of supporting documents sent by post, the postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application. To avoid delayed or unsuccessful delivery of applications by post, applicants should ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage has been affixed before posting. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will not be delivered to the Education Bureau and will be returned to the sender or disposed of by the Hongkong Post, where appropriate. Applicants will bear any consequences arising from paying insufficient postage.
