(a) To develop digital marketing (inclusive of social media strategies and other creative ideas), administer the resources and performance management and, quality control of the e-platforms and other digital assets of the Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) and the Youth Development Commission (YDC);
(b) To explore new social media channels and produce promotional content (e.g. texts, photos, audios and videos) to better promote the image/activities of HAB and YDC to our target audiences of our services;
(c) To review, develop and monitor the e-platforms of the YDC and other youth development activities of HAB in consultation with relevant subject teams;
(d) To manage promotion and publicity activities, including preparation of quotation documents to engage suitable service providers to deliver the required mode of services;
(e) To extend outreach efforts to community, press and related stakeholders;
(f) To conduct internal review on the effectiveness of online and social media marketing, strategies and campaigns, including analysis of data of promotional methodology/tools. Monitor market trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy to recommend areas for improvement;
(g) To provide specialised support in graphic design (digital media, advertising, printing), web and social media design, HTML programming, photography, videography, animation, to ensure that there are full resource coverage across all initiatives, and perform vendor management for outsourced and in-house support;
(h) To perform various editorial duties, both online and social media and printed materials, to ensure the quality of deliverables and compliance with the HAB subject teams; and
(i) To carry out any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
(Note: The successful candidate may be required to work irregular hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.)
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of 24 months.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
$64,270 per month
A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. In addition to statutory holidays, 12 days paid annual leave, maternity leave and sickness allowance will be granted to the applicant. Details of which will be confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.
General Notes
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
