Application Forms [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)] are obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Applications, enclosed with two essays (Note 1), submitted in person or by post should reach the contact address on or before the closing date of application. Please specify the position being applied for on the envelope. To avoid delayed or unsuccessful delivery of applications by post, please ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage has been affixed before posting. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will not be delivered to this Department and will be returned to the sender or disposed of by the Hongkong Post, where appropriate. Applicants will bear any consequences arising from paying insufficient postage. Online applications can also be made through the Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk) (Note 2). Applications which are late, incomplete/without the relevant documents as required, including the English and Chinese essays as mentioned in Note 1 below within the specified deadline, or submitted by fax/email may not be considered. Applicants are encouraged to provide their email addresses on the application forms. Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation within twelve weeks from the closing date of application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
Note 1: Applicants are required to attach the following to their applications: (a) a short essay of no more than 500 words in English about how he/she resolved a difficult situation when worked as a manager; and (b) a short essay of no more than 500 words in Chinese explaining why is he/she considers himself/herself to be a suitable candidate for the position of Outreaching Manager.
Note 2: Candidates who apply online should submit the required documents (including the two essays mentioned in Note 1) by post to the Contact Address or as a word (.doc or .docx) document by email to
[email protected] within seven days after the closing date of application, and the online application number should be quoted on the envelope and every page of the copies of supporting documents or in the email. Applications without attaching the essays required in Note 1 or with files in incorrect format may not be considered.
