Entry Requirements

Candidates should
(a) have Level 2 or equivalent (Note 1) or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 2) or equivalent; or Level 2 (Note 3) /Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2) or equivalent; and
(b) meet the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent.
Remarks
(1) “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2) The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.
(3) ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
(4) Successful candidates will be required to work outdoor and at irregular hours (including evening time) and / or on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, and to work in Wan Chai and such other locations.
 

Duties

(a) To assist in voter registration, voter verification and handling claims and objections;
(b) To assist in the preparation and conduct of rural elections and by-elections;
(c) To handle public enquiries, complaints and inputting data;
(d) To undertake general duties and provide office and warehouse support; and
(e) To perform manual and outdoor work and any other related support as required.

Terms of Appointment

Candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of one year.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

$56.5 per hour
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

General Notes

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau's website (https://www.csb.gov.hk).
(2) The completed application form, together with copies of academic qualifications and/or official transcripts should reach the below enquiry address by post or by hand on or before the closing date. For submission by post, the date of application is based on the postmark date. Please ensure that sufficient postage is paid to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application.
