Entry Requirements

A Farm Management Supervisor should have (a) a diploma or higher certificate in Applied or Natural Science / Agriculture / Agricultural Economics / Economics / Geography / Statistics / Information and Technology or a related subject from a Hong Kong University or equivalent; (b) at least six years' relevant working experience; and (c) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.
Remarks
(1) 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. (2) Preference will be given to candidates who are conversant with computer software including MS Word、MS Excel、MS PowerPoint、MS Access, and Chinese characters input, or have experience in handling data.
 

Duties

Farm Management Supervisor is mainly deployed on (a) conducting assessment on values of crops and farm equipment for ex-gratia payment purpose in connection with land resumption and crop damage for compensation purpose; (b) conducting market survey on values of crops and farm equipment for ex-gratia payment purposes; (c) preparing assessment schedules for crops and farm equipment; (d) conducting preliminary field inspection on proposed land resumption project; (e) conducting field survey with a view to providing data and information on botanical features of local crops; and (f) performing any other duties as required by supervisors.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on 1 year non-civil service contract terms.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

$44,150 per month
Rest days, public holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. 14 days paid annual leave will be granted but there will be no gratuity.
