Entry Requirements

(a) a bachelor degree from a Hong Kong University or equivalent;
(b) minimum 5 years of post-qualification working experience in event organisation and public relations including large scale functions at territory-wide or international level;
(c) good communication and organisation skills;
(d) good command of Chinese and English (both written and spoken); and
(e) good computer knowledge including proficiency of MS Word and Excel.
Remarks
If necessary, will be required to work outside normal office hours including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
 

Duties

(a) to assist in drawing up the operational plans and publicity plans for celebration activities and territory-wide/regional/cross-district projects;
(b) to implement the celebration and territory-wide/regional/cross-district activities including coordinating and liaising with government departments, non-government organisations and various parties;
(c) to assist in compiling and monitoring the programme budget;
(d) to assist in handling the guest invitation matters;
(e) to assist in arranging the design and printing of invitation cards, reply slips, guidance notes, etc;
(f) to assist in processing funding applications from non-government organisation in implementing projects; and
(g) any other duties as assigned.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms from April /May 2020 to October/ November 2020. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the Department and the performance of the candidate.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

$40,015 per month
Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

General Notes

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau's web site (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Completed application forms, together with copies of academic qualifications and documentary proof of working experience, should reach the Special Duties Team, Home Affairs Department, 4/F, Southorn Centre, 130 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong on or before the closing date for application (the postmark date on the envelop will be regarded as the date of submission of application).
