Entry Requirements

Applicants should –
(a) be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
(b) be post-secondary students pursuing a full-time Bachelor’s degree, preferably with accounting background;
(c) be proceeding to the second/third or final year of study in 2020/21;
(d) have good communication skills and multi-tasking skills;
(e) have good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (with Level 4 in both Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or equivalent) ; and
(f) be proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese Word processing.
Remarks
(1) “Attained with Distinction” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2)The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.
(3)‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
 

Duties

The successful candidate will assist in -
(a) analysing the finances of travel agents;
(b) extracting and compiling data on travel agents;
(c) processing license renewal and amendments;
(d) performing administrative duties related to records processing; and
(e) performing any other duties.

Terms of Appointment

Internship period is within late June to early September 2020 for approximately 2 months. Interns are normally required to work 44 hours per week. The actual hours of work may vary depending on the operational needs. Overtime work, if necessary, will be compensated by time-off in lieu.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$10,500 per month
Summer interns are eligible for rest days, statutory holidays, general holidays and sickness days. They are subject to the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme Ordinance (Cap.485).

• Students studying in local post-secondary institutions (including those who are currently participating in exchange programmes at tertiary institutions outside Hong Kong) should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective institutions. They are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions. (Direct applications from students are not accepted.)
• Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should download the application form from the CSB’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk/english/admin/appoint/782.html). Completed application form together with resume, copies of academic transcripts and certificates of HKDSEE or equivalent should reach the enquiry address specified below by post on or before 3 May 2020 (according to the postmark). Applicants should clearly mark “Application for Post-Secondary Student Summer Internship Programme (TAR)” on the envelope. Applications which are incomplete, not accompanied by the required documents or late will not be considered.
• Applicants should ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage is affixed before posting so as to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application. Any underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by the Hongkong Post.
• Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation by email in about three weeks from the closing date for application. The interview is expected to be conducted in late May/early June 2020 in Hong Kong. Candidates who are not invited for invitation may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
