Summer Intern

Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for July to August 2020. The interns are normally required to work 44 hours per week.

HK$10,500 per month

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(e) Where a large number of candidates meet the specified entry requirements, the recruiting department may devise shortlisting criteria to select the better qualified candidates for further processing. In these circumstances, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend written examination and/or interview.
(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the interview/written examination without being subject to further shortlisting. Applicants who have declared disabilities found suitable for appointment may be given an appropriate degree of preference over other applicants whose suitability for appointment is considered comparable to that of the former. (g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the enquiry address below.

Hong Kong students studying full-time degree courses in local post-secondary institutions should apply through the Student Affairs Offices / Career Centres of their respective institutions. They are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective institutions. Direct applications from students are not accepted.

Students studying in non-local post-secondary institutions should download and complete the application for from Bureau’s website (https://www.csb.gov.hk/tc_chi/admin/appoint/782.html). Completed application form together with a copy of the certificate of their student status of their institutions should reach the below contact address by post on or before 22 May 2020. The postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application and please specify the title of the post being applied for on the envelope. To avoid delayed or unsuccessful delivery of applications by post, please ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage has been affixed before posting. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will not be delivered to this department and will be returned to the sender or disposed of by the Hongkong Post, where appropriate. Applicants will bear any consequences arising from paying insufficient postage. Applications which are incomplete, late or submitted by fax or e-mail, or not made in the prescribed form, or not duly signed, or not accompanied by the required documents will not be considered.
