Entry Requirements
Candidates should (a)(i) possess a Certificate in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Building Services, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, Automotive Technology, Computer, or Information Technology discipline) from a Hong Kong Polytechnic University / polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute / technical college, or equivalent; and (a)(ii) a minimum of 4 years’ relevant working experience, preferably with experience in supervising staff and AutoCAD; or (b)(i) possess a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Building Services, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, Automotive Technology, Computer, or Information Technology discipline) from a Hong Kong Polytechnic University / polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute / technical college, or equivalent; and (b)(ii) a minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience, preferably with experience in supervising staff and AutoCAD.
(i) A Temporary Project Supervisor is responsible to (a) feasibility study, investigation, analysis, report writing, design, installation, operation, inspection, testing and commissioning, cleaning, maintenance and repair in relation to a wide range of E&M equipment and system; (b) design, procurement, assessment, project management and other technical services; (c) contract management and supervising contractors’ staff; (d) administrative works including workshop management, preparation of analysis and investigation report; (e) implementation of asset digitisation, including (i) to analyse, manage and rectify the asset data of installed equipment as recoded in the existing computer system; and (ii) to liaise with concerned parties for managing digitalized O&M and statutory documents; (f) supervision and management of contractors to carry out works of asset input, asset tagging, asset categorisation and verification work for digital transformation of the asset management system; and (g) review of all the submittals, including asset data, drawings and documents, provided by contractors prior to uploading to the existing systems.
(ii) (a) work irregular hours / in remote areas / in harsh conditions; (b) perform shift duty / stand-by duty / on-call duty / emergency duty; (c) wear uniform / protective clothing; (d) carry pager / mobile phone; (e) work with computer; and (f) to perform any other duties as specified from time to time.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of 12 months.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
HK$25,000 per month
An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, plus any contribution to be made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted no less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
General Notes
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(f) It is Government policy to place people with a disability in appropriate jobs wherever possible. If a disabled candidate meets the entry requirements, he/she will be invited to attend the selection interview/written examination without being subject to any further shortlisting criteria.
(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications. They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the enquiry address.
