Entry Requirements

(a) completed Form 5 with Level 2【Note (1)】or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;
(b) at least 2 years’ full-time (or 4 years’ part-time) working experience in major performing venues or sports venues;
(c) good command of Cantonese, spoken English and Putonghua; and
(d) possession of a valid First Aid Certificate may be an advantage.
Remarks
【Note (1): ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.】
 

Duties

1. To supervise Stadium Assistants;
2. To handle general enquiries and to provide customer services;
3. To supervise the performance of contractors for catering, security and cleansing services;
4. To assist in first aid services, handling accidents, injuries and any emergency incidents;
5. To prepare the venue set-up, decoration and facilities for the events and tidy up after the events;
6. To assist in enforcing the Stadia Regulation and the Conditions for the Use of Stadium; and
7. To perform other duties as assigned by Stadium Staff.

【Note: Appointees may be required to work outdoor, in inclement weather or environments affected by sound effects. To perform duties, appointees may be required to walk up and down steep staircases, and stand or walk for a prolonged period of time for patrolling the Stadium.】

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 24 months.\r\n\r\n

$88.00 per hour

General Notes

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

They should submit copies of their official transcripts and certificates by mail to the enquiry address.
(h) All qualifications and working experience required should be obtained on or before the application deadline. Qualifications and working experience obtained after the application deadline will not be considered.

Working Hours and Place of Work:
Successful candidates will be required to perform outdoor duties on pre-events, event days and post-events, and work irregular hours and shifts (including Saturdays, Sundays and General Holidays). Actual working hours will be arranged by supervisors. If there is operational need, the successful candidates may also need to perform duties in Mong Kok Stadium and So Kon Po Recreation Ground.

Arrangement of Interview:
Eligible candidates will be invited in writing for an interview which will be held from late July to August 2020 in the Hong Kong Stadium. The applicants are required to attend the interview according to the scheduled date and time specified in the letter of invitation. For applicants who fail to attend the interview, their applications for the post of Senior Stadium Assistant will be considered unsuccessful. If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above and/or a Black Rainstorm Warning signal is in force at 7:00 a.m. on the interview date, interviews for that day will be postponed. Applicants concerned will be notified of the rescheduled dates for the interviews and any consequential arrangement as soon as possible.

2. All completed application forms together with copies of academic qualifications and documentary proof for work experience should reach the enquiry address by post or in person on or before the closing date. Please mark the position applied for on the envelope. For submission by post, the deadline is based on the stamp chop date. For submission in person, the application should reach the address below by 5:30 p.m. of the closing date.
3. Applicants should ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage has been paid before posting so as to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application. Any underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by the Hongkong Post, where appropriate. An applicant will bear any consequence arising from not paying sufficient postage.
