Entry Requirements

(a) A minimum two years of relevant full-time work experience on quantitative research with commercial implications;
(b) A Hong Kong Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, preferably in economics, finance, business or international relations or a related field;
(c) A strong command of written and spoken English, Putonghua and Cantonese; and
(d) Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills as well as communications and presentation skills.

Duties

To help demonstrate the wealth of opportunities in Hong Kong and beyond, Invest Hong Kong is looking for Managers to undertake quantitative and qualitative research leading to the development of high quality business propositions. We are looking for high caliber individuals with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and presentation skills.

You will conduct quantitative and qualitative research on forecasts and trends in global investment, economic development, supply chain and cross-border trade.

(i) To conduct quantitative and qualitative research on forecasts and trends in global investment, economic development, supply chain and cross-border trade;
(ii) To monitor the latest development and trends in relations with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; Belt and Road Initiative and ASEAN economies;
(iii) To provide quantitative data to contribute to the planning of InvestHK’s strategic direction; and
(iv) To prepare, update and refine business propositions for potential investors in collaboration with different sector and geographical teams.

Terms of Appointment

Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$46,655 per month
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

General Notes

(a) Applicants must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
