Salary History

Entry Requirements

(1) Applicants should have obtained education level at Primary 6 or above.
(2) Preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience.

Duties

Post (a) Duties :
(1) Be responsible for the daily management of Community Halls and Community Centres (CHs/CCs), including answering enquiries from general public and overseeing the general condition of security, maintenance, cleaning, and the use of facilities by hirers etc.;
(2) To clean the CHs/CCs and assist the operation of the temporary heat/cold shelter on need basis;
(3) To patrol and inspect the conditions of both outdoor and indoor CHs/CCs facilities in North District and to assist moving furniture and equipment; and
(4) To carry out any other duties assigned by staff of North District Office (such as to assist HAD staff to provide service to the public in the Home Affairs Enquiry Centre).

Post (b) Duties :
(1) To assist in the operation of the Home Affairs Department’s temporary shelters/ temporary cold shelters/ temporary night heat shelters in CHs/CCs when activated, including registration of shelter users, distributing meals, handling enquiries and complaints, patrolling the shelter and overseeing the work of contractual staff (such as security guards and cleansing staff); and
(2) To handle any other appropriate duties assigned.

Terms of Appointment

(1) Successful candidate will be appointed on Non-civil service contract terms for one year. Contract renewal will be subject to the satisfactory performance, operational needs and availability of resources.\r\n(2) Candidates will be appointed on part time basis with irregular working hours, and need to work on any days including Mondays to Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, as and when required. Required to work overnight if necessary.\r\n(3) The working hours may vary from month to month.\r\n

Salary and Fringe Benefits

Post (a) HKD$51.0 per hour
Post (b) Day Shift (0830-1730): HKD$64.8 per hour; Night Shift (1730-0830 the next day): HKD$82.4 per hour
5% MPF contribution, plus Employment Ordinance benefits (as appropriate)

General Notes

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.
