Entry Requirements

(a) A Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline for an I&T and marketing role;
(b) A minimum of five years of full time work experience in promotion, marketing and event planning and execution in the I&T sector, and a track record of managing global or regional programmes;
(c) Knowledge and experience of working with agencies and contractors on event/campaign development and execution; and
(d) Excellent English and Chinese written communications skills. Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua is a must. Proficiency in another language will be an advantage.

Duties

InvestHK is looking for a passionate professional to join its Innovation and Technology (I&T) Team to develop and execute a concerted global investment promotion and marketing programme to attract overseas and Mainland technology companies to set up and/or expand their operations in and via Hong Kong.

Working with our global network and reporting to the Head of I&T – Information and Communications Technology, you will leverage and promote the exciting business opportunities in I&T arising from Hong Kong’s unique position as an International I&T hub, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) development, and Asia as a whole.

You will need to demonstrate:
(a) Solid knowledge and experience in formulating a global campaign strategy and executing promotion campaigns in the Mainland and overseas;
(b) Strong business acumen and marketing skills with demonstrable knowledge and keen interest in the I&T industries;
(c) Proven track record of forging, developing and managing strong collaboration with key stakeholders;
(d) Excellent skills to translate the business priorities of our network into a global investment promotion and marketing programme that appeals to our target audiences;
(e) Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment; and
(f) Knowledge of Hong Kong’s business environment.

Duties
(i) To formulate and implement a global promotion and marketing campaign strategy and plan for I&T in targeted hubs in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Mainland to convey our sales messages to our target audiences and help the team achieve its objectives and key performance indicators;
(ii) To identify, build and deepen relationships with relevant external stakeholders;
(iii) To identify, oversee and work with external agencies, including marketing, events and public relations agencies to deliver effective global campaigns;
(iv) To manage the content and update of the I&T micro-website to enhance its relevance and to boost its visibility to our target audience; and
(v) To perform related administrative tasks and other ad hoc duties as requested.

The position may require some investment promotion visits in the Mainland and overseas.

Terms of Appointment

Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for normally 24 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the applicant.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$61,415 per month
(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and
(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
