Entry Requirements

Applicants should have -
(a) a degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(c) a minimum of three years’ full-time post-qualification working experience, preferably with experience in managerial/executive and/or event/project management positions;
(d) good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in computer usage, preferably with experience in managing websites and social media; and
(e) good organising, coordination, analytical, interpersonal, project planning/project management skills and ability to work independently.
Remarks
‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
 

Duties

(a) to provide administrative support to the operation of the division, including handling enquiries, processing applications, compiling statistical data / reports, conducting interviews and providing logistics support to meetings / activities / events / duty visits;
(b) to assist in planning, coordinating, implementing and overseeing the promotion or works projects in relation to youth development policies;
(c) to assist in planning, organising and implementing events, activities as well as training and exchange programmes etc. for youth participants;
(d) to assist in records and database management;
(e) to assist in conducting and overseeing procurement-related matters and monitoring the performance of the service contractors / providers;
(f) to assist in arranging duty visit to the mainland and/or overseas, including designing itineraries, preparation of quotation document in relation to transportation and accommodation etc and seeking relevant approval to conduct such visit;
(g) to liaise with other government departments / non-government organisations for the implementation of government schemes / programmes; and
(h) to carry out any other duties as and when required.
(Note: The hours and venues of work may be varied having regard to the operational needs of the bureau. The successful candidate may be required to (a) work irregular hours and overtime, including evenings and weekends; and (b) work occasionally outdoors.)

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms up to September 2020.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

$31,750 per month
A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. In addition to statutory holidays, 12 days paid annual leave, maternity leave and sickness allowance will be granted to the applicant. Details of which will be confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.
